FAQ

1. What is required to book Beauty By K2 for my wedding?

In order to book Beauty By K2 for your event, a signed contract and 40% deposit is required. The wedding date will not be reserved without a signed contract and paid deposit fee. The deposit is non-refundable and will be deducted from the total remaining balance. If your event date is on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, the deposit must include 40% of at least 6 or more people.

2. Do I need to know exactly how many people and or services at the time of booking, or can that be changed closer to the event date?

Katie does not require the final headcount and or service count at the time of booking. You, the bride, will have up until 90 days prior to the event date to make any changes, additions, or corrections to the contract. It is a good idea, however, to notify Katie sooner rather than later of any changes to ensure there is enough team coverage on the event date. If any services are cancelled within 90 days prior to the event date, you are still responsible for paying the cancelled service/services.

3. Can I pay the remaining balance on the day of the event or do I owe the balance before the event date?

Katie requires the full remaining balance to be paid 10 days prior to the event date. Katie will send a final invoice, along with a detailed hair and makeup schedule at that time. Personal checks and cash payments are not accepted.

4. Is gratuity added to the final balance? Are there any hidden fees?

Katie does not charge gratuity on top of your final balance, however a gratuity of 15-20% is greatly appreciated on the event date! There are no other hidden fees, unless previously discussed before the event date.

5. Do you have a service minimum for my event date?

Yes, the minimum is 6 or more people if the event date is on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. Please note, this is 6 actual people, not 6 services to meet the minimum. If you do not have at least 6 people in your wedding party, you can still book with Katie, Cassy, Trinity, or Nichole for their day rate of $1,000.00.

6. How many people do you bring with you on the event date?

It depends on how many people request services, amount of services requested, and or if there are any venue time constraints. Rest assured, once Katie has all of this information, she will bring the appropriate amount of assistants to ensure that your bridal party will all be ready on time.

7. How long will it take to get my bridal party ready?

For bridal party members, we allot an 80 minutes for both hair and makeup, 40 minutes for just one service, and an hour and a half for the bride. If possible, Katie prefers to have a 15-30 minute arrival/set up time and a 15- 30 minute buffer/touch up time at the end of the service schedule.

8. Do you travel or do I come to you for my wedding? What are your travel fees?

Katie and her team only offer "on location" services for your wedding day. No matter where you are located, Katie’s team is happy to travel to you! Katie does charge a travel fee if styling over a 15 mile radius from the downtown Nashville area. If you are getting styled at a hotel without complimentary parking in Nashville or close surrounding cities, you will JUST be responsible for parking compensation instead of the travel fee.

9. When can I book my trial?

Katie prefers to schedule bridal trials one month out from the event date, however if you are an out of town bride, Katie will work with you should you need to trial early (several months out) or even the week of the event date.

10. Where does the trial take place?

At Katie’s studio! She is located in Germantown (Nashville, TN).

11. DO YOU MAKE A HAIR AND OR MAKEUP SCHEDULE FOR THE WEDDING DAY?

Yes, no need to try and figure out who goes at what time on your wedding day! Katie will make and send over a detailed hair and or makeup schedule 10 days prior to the event date.

12. IF MY WEDDING PARTY MEMBERS WOULD LIKE TO PAY SEPARATELY FOR THEIR SERVICE/SERVICES, CAN THEY PAY YOU INDIVIDUALLY ON THE EVENT DATE?

Katie requires the 40% non-refundable retainer to be paid in one complete payment and the full remaining balance to be paid 10 days prior in one complete payment. Individual payment can be handled between the bridal party members and the bride prior to the 10 day deadline.
